30 Principal of Delhi government school will go to Cambridge University for training. Focus will be on understanding these things.
Special training will be given by Cambridge to the teachers of Delhi government schools. For this training, the Delhi government is sending a team of 30 school heads and education officers to England.
Government school teachers will be given eight days of special leadership training in England. During this training, these government school teachers will also visit Fulbridge Academy, Witchford Village College and Chesterton Community College in England. The main objective of this Leadership Training and Exposure Program designed by the Government of Delhi for its Heads of Schools is to provide the Heads of Schools with the use of Digital Technology in Classroom Practices, Leadership Skills, Skills required to manage a High Performance Team and to develop the skills of children in the Classroom.
To provide information about Best Pedagogy Practices to be followed by teachers for all round development. During his visit to Cambridge, the school leader will also visit three schools, including Fulbridge Academy, Witchford Village College and Chesterton Community College.
The Delhi government sends groups of its school heads to Cambridge every year for specialized leadership training. So far about 400 school heads have participated in this training. This is the second group of this year in the same sequence, which will start their training in Cambridge from 10 October.
During the 8-day training in Cambridge, school leaders will have the opportunity to meet education experts who are leading the change in education in the UK. They will also meet with principals and teachers from three local education institutions to understand how effectively UK education policies are being implemented and what innovative teaching practices are being adopted in UK schools. The school heads of the Kejriwal government will work to connect these experiences of the visit with the education model of Delhi.
In addition, the school heads will also work on a ‘mini research project’. In this, they will do research on a particular topic in the field of education or work on a problem statement. The objective of this mini research project is to help school heads identify how the Delhi government school ecosystem can be further improved by working on the challenges that prevail here.
