The Brain Teaser of this week is based on the concepts of Physics. This week’s brain teaser is given below :

A ball is placed at origin of the x-y plane. It is projected with a velocity of (√244) m/s at an angle of tan-1(6/5) from the positive x-axis in anti-clockwise direction. At time t = n seconds, the co-ordinates of the ball is given by (xn , yn). The plane has gravitational field which varies in sequence as follows:

  1. At t=0, acceleration due to gravity, g , is 10 m/s2, starts acting in negative y – direction.
  2. At t=t1 the velocity makes angle of tan-1(1) from the positive x-axis in clockwise direction, then acceleration due to gravity, g , is 10 m/s2, starts acting in positive y – direction till t=t1+t2 .
  3. At t=t1+t2 the velocity makes angle of tan-1(3/2) from the positive x-axis in anti-clockwise direction, then acceleration due to gravity, g , is 5 m/s2, starts acting in negative x – direction till t=t1+t2+t3 .
  4. At t=t1+t2+t3 the velocity makes angle of tan-1(2) from the positive y-axis in anti-clockwise direction, then acceleration due to gravity, g , is 15 m/s2, starts acting in positive x – direction till t=t1+t2+t3+t4 .
  5. At t=t1+t2+t3+t4 the velocity makes angle of tan-1(1) from the positive x-axis in anti-clockwise direction, then acceleration due to gravity, g , is 10 m/s2, starts acting in negative y – direction.

Find the value of xt1 + xt1+t2 + xt1+t2+t3 + xt1+t2+t3+t4.

एक गेंद को x-y तल के मूल स्थान पर रखा गया है। इसे वामावर्त दिशा में धनात्मक x-अक्ष से tan-1(6/5) के कोण पर (√244)m/s के वेग से प्रक्षेपित किया जाता है। समय t = n सेकंड में, गेंद के निर्देशांक (xn, yn) द्वारा दिए जाते हैं। x-y तल में गुरुत्वाकर्षण क्षेत्र है जो क्रम में निम्नानुसार बदलता है:

  1. t=0 पर, गुरुत्वाकर्षण के कारण त्वरण, g , 10 m/s2, ऋणात्मक y-दिशा में कार्य करना शुरू करता है।
  2. t=t1 पर वेग दक्षिणावर्त दिशा में धनात्मक x-अक्ष से tan-1(1) का कोण बनाता है, फिर गुरुत्वाकर्षण के कारण त्वरण, g, 10 m/s2, t=t1+t2 तक धनात्मक y-दिशा में कार्य करना शुरू कर देता है।
  3. t=t1+t2 पर वेग वामावर्त दिशा में धनात्मक x-अक्ष से tan-1(3/2) का कोण बनाता है, फिर गुरुत्वाकर्षण के कारण त्वरण, g, 5 m/s2, t=t1+t2+t3 तक ऋणात्मक x – दिशा में कार्य करना शुरू कर देता है।
  4. t=t1+t2+t3 पर वेग वामावर्त दिशा में धनात्मक y-अक्ष से tan-1(2) का कोण बनाता है , फिर गुरुत्वाकर्षण के कारण त्वरण, g, 15m/s2, t=t1+t2+t3+t4 तक धनात्मक x-दिशा में कार्य करना शुरू कर देता है।।
  5. t=t1+t2+t3+t4 पर वेग वामावर्त दिशा में धनात्मक x-अक्ष से tan-1(1) का कोण बनाता है, फिर गुरुत्वाकर्षण के कारण त्वरण, g, 10 m/s2, ऋणात्मक y – दिशा में कार्य करना शुरू कर देता है।
